Met voorzichtig optimisme en wellicht ook met een zekere dosis (gezonde) naïviteit hopen we, nu de cijfers blijven dalen en we stilaan meer vat krijgen op het virus, dat het kleuter- en basisonderwijs opnieuw op uitstap mag na de kerstvakantie. We zouden hen met open armen ontvangen op ons Vertelfestival ‘WinterMagie’, weliswaar vanop veilige afstand.
Toen enkele weken geleden het bericht kwam dat schooluitstappen ook voor deze doelgroep voor onbepaalde tijd werden opgeschort (voor het secundair onderwijs gold dit al), viel dat even zwaar. Toch blijven we niet bij de pakken zitten. Omdat we er zeker van zijn dat een coronaproof evenement haalbaar is, hebben we ondertussen al heel wat stappen genomen op weg naar een veilig en kleinschalig festival. Veilig omdat we over enkele grote zalen beschikken waar verschillende klasbubbels op 1,5 meter afstand van elkaar naar verhalen kunnen luisteren. Kleinschalig omdat we slechts een handjevol vertellers hebben uitgenodigd aangezien we geen grote toestroom verwachten. Maar klein kan ook mooi zijn. Met slechts 2 vertellers per graad die zich voor- en namiddag afwisselen, kiezen we nog steeds voor kwaliteit en garanderen we je een intiem winterfestival in je eigen klasbubbel.
Maar ook onze kleuters vergeten we niet. Zij kunnen elke voormiddag kiezen uit 2 mooie voorstellingen. Ook hier zijn veilig en kleinschalig de toverwoorden! En de allerkleinsten? Hen zien we heel graag terug volgende winter als opa of oma opnieuw risicoloos kunnen halen en brengen.
Hoewel we met z’n allen gezond willen blijven, hopen we toch op groen licht na de kerstvakantie…omdat het belangrijk is dat verhalen verteld worden!
Deze droom houden we graag nog even vast want onze kinderen verdienen het zo.
