Limburg is Belgium’s cycling province par excellence and the fact that the Grand Commandery is itself one of the many cycling junctions on the well-known cycling route network makes Alden Biesen the ideal point of departure. Cyclists can head towards the flat Demer valley or they can brave the rolling hills of Haspengouw.
Not looking forward to climbing those Haspengouw hills? Not to worry, we rent out both standard and electric bicycles.
Reservations can be made via Toerisme Limburg at 0800 96 96 7 (free), +32 11 33 27 56 or +32 495 52 42 26.

Would you prefer the convenience of a guide to show you the way? No problem: our most athletic guides keep their steel steeds in tiptop shape.
Tip: combine your bike ride with a tasty picnic on the estate. During the tourist season wooden tables and waste bins are dotted around the estate.
We’ll even prepare your picnic for you: order your picnic basket beforehand and collect it at your leisure
