Scotland has a special attraction for many of our compatriots. This becomes clear every year after the second weekend of September, when thousands of people come to our Scottish weekend. It is of course a very special occasion. Over two days you can find all the elements of the distant Highlands such as kilts, bagpipes, haggis and whisky in one place much closer to home.
It is also a weekend with a very competitive feel. Bagpipe bands strive to outdo each other in different championships. You can also enjoy the Highland dancing and sheep-dog trials. Be sure not to miss the Highland Games, with strong lads testing themselves in strange disciplines such as tossing the caber (pole).
What definitely cannot be missed is the folk music, brought by national and international bands. It is impossible to describe the atmosphere. You will have to come and find out for yourself!
